The Community Events Committee was formed in 2007 with the purpose of planning town-wide events that would build the sense of community in our town. Membership on the committee is more or less in a constant state of change. New members are added, old members take a vacation (we do not consider anyone as having “left”, as they often return when their personal lives permit involvement).

Although we have a line item in the Town Budget, it is only $1.00. It is there to remind everyone that, so far, our events pay for themselves.

If you have any ideas you would like to see implemented, come join us. Our regular meeting is at 7:00 pm on the fourth Thursday of the month. Until recently we have met at the Town Office but the Library has invited us to meet there and we probably shall starting in November, 2009.
